Other than the food court, obviously
I've signed up to volunteer at reading for the blind a block away at Church & 2nd sts, which means I'll be in the area with some regularity recording, so looking for various suggestions on places to try while I'm down there vs needing a one shot perfect place to go with fixed parameters. Never really did more than the mall in that neighborhood before (well and Quantam books closer to Kendall) so I've no real idea of what's there and where it is.
I'll eat almost anything, and don't mind experimenting a bit. I love to get seafood away from home because I so rarely fix it at home. Love Thai and other asian - probably my mainstays. Love spicy. Hopeless carnivore who also enjoys good vegetarian food. Good, creative deli sandwiches are good altho not a huge soup as a meal fan - I prefer something to chew. As are solid burgers, gyros (real tzatziki rules), perfect X sub, and other non-deli specialty sandwiches. It will be lunches on my own most of the time though, so I'm not really looking for big 3 course capital M Meals. Nor do I have a particularly strong sweet tooth, so not really looking for someplace you go and maybe have a salad strictly so you can get at the desserts to die for.
Limitations - no car (public transportation) and I'm on crutches for an extended period, so walking distance can't be *long* walking distance. Sigh, especially this time of year with unshoveled sidewalks. And finances mean I'd rather keep things toward the cheaper end of the scale. Certainly willing to splurge occasionally for something outstanding but honestly more interested in cheap but good that will hopefully turn into a regular favorite.
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.
