lunch let down at Savoy

I was warned by the board that Savoy had dropped, but it was a very convenient location for us and I hoped that lunch had stayed good. My friend's pumpkin and bacon salad had a slab of almost raw bacon. (Has bacon sushi become popular without my knowledge?) I'm an Atkins gal but even I couldn't look at the wedge of 95% fat that was almost uncooked. The curried chicken salad sandwich on wheat was actually a pile of lettuce, an oz or two of chicken and a small triangle of grilled bread that looked like pita. My beets were so-so. I enjoyed the celeri root confit and the livers. The special breads on my plate mediocre and one was quite cold.

I should have listened to the board....
