New lunch options (present and future) in FiDi

Hunting down tasty food in FiDi can feel limiting, so it's always interesting when new options open up. We walked by Swich, a new pressed sandwich place on Maiden, the other day and gave it a try. Overall: interesting sandwich combinations and not bad, taste-wise. We had the Trojan Horse (ground lamb sandwich on focaccia) and Thanksgiving Every Day (roasted turkey, of course, on cranberry pecan bread). It was a bit hit-or-miss with the seasoning (the lamb sandwich was a tad undersalted and the gravy in the Thanksgiving was pretty salty), but definitely better than a lot of other sandwiches we've had in the area and big flavors with potential. The housemade chips, potato or sweet potato, are a nice touch. Note: the big sandwich flavors can overwhelm the somewhat delicate-tasting chips; they're better enjoyed separately.

Also: Klatch has closed, a former FiDi institution, and signs now show that Baoguette will be moving in (also on Maiden). Looking forward to their banh mi and vietnamese coffee!
