lunch at L.T.'s GRILL

it felt strange walking into l.t.'s, larry tucker's new restaurant. i was a counter regular at the original wishbone at this location, and the occasional breakfast eater at munch which replaced the wishbone. now its new again. as expected, lunch is less interesting and ambitious(and less 'soulful') than the dinner menu at this place which opened on august 15th. i expect it is good policy to stick to sandwiches and salads (and the daily special)at lunch. i had a decent chopped salad with smaller amounts of bacon, blue cheese and chicken than i'd like. nothing outstanding, but lots of fresh lettuce and homemade dressing.
my friend had a nicely seasoned chicken quesadilla.
i look forward to dinner here soon. there is memphis pulled pork, larry's ribs, chicken in chipotle sauce to look forward to. as well as the sides-collard greens, garlic mashed potatoes, cornbread.

l.t.s grill, 1800 w. grand. (312)997-2400
