lunch AT LITERATI II

Well, I tried it today thanks to all the postings here, and last week's LA Times. It is now reservation ONLY! People without one were turned away at the door. I must say, I was underwhelmed. The service is VERY slow.....my Diet Coke came 10 minutes after I ordered it, and I asked to see a dinner menu out of curiosity, and I had to ask 4 times. The wait between apps and entrees was half an hour, which at lunch is not okay, especially in this businessy area.

We had caesars to start, which were good. I ordered a Dungeness crab sandwich which was okay, but just okay, and very expensive. My friend had skirt steak, which they overcooked. We got there at 12:30, and they finally got around to asking if we wanted coffee at 2:10!!! And, by the way, they had run out of almost all of their desserts. I would certainly give them a chance to get their act together...the place was packed.....lunch was 75 bucks, and too many slip ups.
