Lunch at Gigi

ThereseTheFoodie | Feb 7, 2011 08:13 AM

My friend Susan and I decided to try out Gigi on Friday and the first thing we noticed was how loud the place was. The restaurant decor has very high ceilings and there must of been at lease 10 people in the open kitchen so along with the loud music it was hard to talk. The service was good but the server forgot to mention how hot the Pad Thai was going to be. It was very spicy and as much as I love spicy food, having lived in Mexico this was over the top and I couldn't finish it. We also had the mushroom buns which were good but unimpressive. My friend Susan had the meatloaf which was the one out-standing dish. Braised beef rib formed into a square and then fried. We had the Nutella mouse dessert and it tasted like a Nestle's crunch bar with some mouse on top. Not impressive.
