After some downtown crossing shopping my husband and I headed to McCormick and Schmicks for lunch.
The Baked Oysters stuffed with Blue Crab and Artichokes were very delicate and the flavors balanced. Although my husband said he tasted artichoke, I thought it was more of a crab and cheese based stuffing.
For entrees the fried whole belly clams were perfectly cooked and extremely fresh. They came with perfectly saled crisp fries. My husband ordered fried scallops which were not on the lunch menu and although he said they were delicious, they charged $20.00 for a small to moderate portion.
He was a fan of the winter warmer draft beer that was recommended by the very professional and light-hearted server.
The coleslaw on the side had a nice tang but overall way too much mayonnaise.
The bill before tip was $52 for an appetizer to entrees and one beer.
In lieu of ordering dessert there we headed to Beard Pappa's for cream puffs.
The strawberry was very different and original and I think that was the best one. Although the chocolate fondant cake for $1.95 was an incredible bargain. They even warmed it up prior to serving.
