Hello all - Just started working in the Grand Central/Bryant Park vicinity. Have to say so far I'm pretty disappointed with the chow options in the hood. It just seems that every single place is either paninis, make your own salads, wraps, or dirty salad bars. Why does every single food establishment have to so stritcly follow all the trends? I used to work in the Wall St. area and was able to find a plethora of chowhoundish lunch spots. So far I've yet to find any around here.
I'm right near Grand Central. I'm willing to walk a bit for something extraordinary, but ideally I'm looking for something I can grab quick and bring back to the office that's not too pricey. Anybody have any suggestions?
