Lunch in DOWNTOWN Baltimore on a budget

Patrick | Aug 14, 2002 11:16 AM

I have lived in Baltimore for years now but just finally secured a job downtown that will have me looking for those few lunchtime finds. Where else would I turn but to Chowhound to find the hidden gems?

First let's put some constraints on this. Let's arbitrarily say downtown is defined as north of Pratt, East of MLK, west of President Street and south of Madison. My lunch budget is usually around $10 but would welcome some even lower cost pointers.

Second, let's classify the responses into two categories: sit down and carry-out/market.

So far, I have been spending my lunch hour at Trinacria on Paca Street (carry-out Italian cold cut and a hand full of imported olives - $3) and Werner's (sitdown dinner food - $10).

Chowhounds, do your thing...
