Our Lunch at Delmonico

Rick | Nov 7, 2005 04:04 PM

This was my second time here and I will certainly be back a third time. To start my dad had the french onion soup with homemade english muffin. The muffin was a bit harder than I remember from last time, but after sitting in the broth it was still great. The french onion soup here is very flavorful and not buried in cheese like you'll find at Mon Ami Gabi. On a recommendation from this board I orderd the parmesean potato chips, and they were great!

Dad got the lunch special consiting of garlic mashed potatoes, two small pieces of filet, and two large scallops. The meat and scallops were cooked perfectly and were wonderful. The garlic mash was awesome. I ordered off of the menu and got the Charbroiled Dry Aged Beef Sirloin with Bacon Cheddar Twice Baked Potato and Creamy Horseradish. Again, cooked perfectly. This potato is actually the reason I wanted to return a second time to Delmonico, and it was awesome again. For dessert we split Bananas Foster Ice Cream Pie, Whipped Cream, Chocolate Shavings and Caramel Sauce.
