Lunch at Bistro Camino

Leslieville | Jun 8, 2008 02:33 PM

Had lunch at Bistro Camino today and we were the only ones there! I realize there was a lot going on this weekend, but I can't believe they don't get more people!!! It was very, hot outside, but with the air conditioning inside it was lovely, and I couldn't resist having Steak and mushroom pie. I know, I know, winter food, but I do love it so. This is not traditional, since the crust is made with phylo, but the filling more than made up for it. The price of $8.00 or 10.00 (sorry, I can't remember) included a delicious shrimp soup, very light, a salad, and some home fries. They also have omelets and brunchy things on the menu at more than reasonable prices. I was checking out the produce at the market next door which seems to sell a lot of Caribbean fruits and vegetables. Maybe I should check here for Ugly fruit which I have so much trouble finding, although Pomelo is pretty close. Enough rambling, go have lunch at Bistro Camino.
