Lunch in a Berkeley intersection

I doubt that many of you have ever eaten a meal prepared by Food Not Bombs. I hadn't until today. They fed the participants in a pro student/staff march in Berkeley at the intersection of Telegraph and Bancroft.

They served brown rice, stewed green split peas, steamed cauliflower and broccoli, a field green salad with a piquant vinaigrette, sweet fresh fruit salad, chewy mushroom pizza on a whole wheat crust and cinnamon rolls.

This was a better meal than I had yesterday at the SF Public Library Sale.

Eating well while doing good.
