Based on a post by Melanie quite some time ago, my wife and I found ourselves near the tourist wharf around lunchtime. I remembered what she said about the locals menu there so we decided to give the place a try.
We were seated by the windows with a nice water view on a cool, sunny day. My wife had the grilled salmon and I had the sand dabs. Both came with rice and sauteed vegetables for $13, other menu choices start at $10.
It was a good size portion and quite tasty, we were both pleased and satisfied. Now we always share our food, but next time we would stick with our own meals. The sand dabs were light and delicate while the salmon more robust with a grilled flavor so they didn't match up well as a mix.
But this is a good lunch option for both visitors like us and residents. Thanks Mel!

Thanks for the update! Glad to know that the price for those two lunches is still holding at $13. And even more to know that they still satisfy, as the place changed hands a couple years ago though I bet the kitchen crew is still the same.

If you're still in the area, don't leave without checking out the new folks, Alta Bakery + Cafe. I went to a special solstice dinner there on friday.
