Lunar New Year Recommendations

chefdekoven | Dec 15, 201710:05 PM     14

Hey all. I have an annual big group dinner for the Lunar New Year. In the past it has always been Cantonese, and that is my preference, but I could be flexible, but I would like the food to be Chinese from some region. Last year I had it at Wan Chai, the year before at Royal Seafood, and two years ago it was at Royal Seafood on Division. I usually have about 20 people handset the menu in advance. I am looking to spend around 50 dollars a person plus plus. I am considering East Lake in Flushing as a possibility. I used to go there pretty frequently, but it has a been a few years. I felt like their sister restaurant, Imperial Seafood, seemed a little tired the last time I looked in. I think Queens or Manhattan is my preference, as I don't think people would be willing to travel to Brooklyn, sadly. Any and all recommendations would be MOST welcome.
