Luna Park update: great food, crummy service

Chowpatty | Sep 28, 200406:30 PM

I'm all for consistency in restaurants, but I have to say, every single time I've eaten at Luna Park (always for lunch, never been at night), I've been amazed that it takes them so long to serve a simple lunch. They seemed befuddled by the fact that we had reserved for a business lunch, surely not an unfamiliar practice. Then they took ages to take our orders, ages to bring them out and ages to bring the bill. I wouldn't have really cared but I'm on the clock and can't afford this kind of dillydallying. OK, I got that off my chest.
The grilled salmon was wonderful. I asked to have it with string beans instead of mashed potatoes. It was a thin, perfectly cooked filet served on a bed of fresh corn kernels and string beans. The corn was so good I ate every kernel even though it's not on my diet. The salmon was excruciatingly delicious, although there was probably lots of butter involved.
