lump charcoal

so, I live in a area grossly underserved by lump charcoal suppliers.

the _single_ option is Cowboy brand. Cowboy has two sources of manufacture - retort product in KY/TN/...? and Mexico. it is next to impossible to find the domestic retort product in USA - all the retailers stock only the Mexico product. which has a problem - the Mexico plant produces lump charcoal bits in two sizes:
charcoal dust and Volkwagen size pieces. chunks so big they don't _fit_ into a chimney starter....

(this is not new, I've emailed Cowboy my concerns, they've responded, but quite literally 4-5 years now and Cowboy has not "solved" their quality issue - makes me think the really don't care about the quality and useability of the Mexico output.....)

(I've spoken with the owner of the local Ace Hardware and the manager of the local supermarket to explain: you just can't sell this xrap! - utterly of no use.....)

so today I see Kingsford Lump Charcoal - not the briquettes - alleged to be "the real deal"

anyone tried it / used it? it is any good?
