We were wandering around the Southern Tier and planned on stopping at O'Brien's outside Waverly. It is closed permanently. Despairing of finding anything edible in the area we wandered into Owego. Just East of the Village, near the Rt 17 on ramp we found a place called Tony's.
The place has been there forever, but is apparently under new ownership. Some of the dishes were just fair, but a couple were actually pretty good. I had a veal cutlet which was pan fried and tasty. The red sauce I ordered on the side was decent. My daughter had pasta with oil and garlic. It was outstanding! They thin sliced several cloves of fresh garlic and browned them in olive oil. then poured the mixture over pasta. Yum!
I would definitely go back.
