I stopped in at Piperade on Tuesday after the gym and had a little dinner at the bar. For dessert I had something I thought would be rather light: yoghurt, honey, and fruit. The fruit consisted of about three sliced strawberries, only one of which was really ripe. But the yoghurt was incredible--very thick, with a fresh and sweet flavor with a bit of tang. Combined with the honey, it made for a decadent and rich dish. The serving is pretty large, but I managed to finish it. It reminded me a bit of the creme fraiche you can buy at Cowgirl Creamery in the Ferry Building. Delicious!
