Had lunch with friends at this Mexican spot in Pilsen. It was wonderful - chips and salsa and pickled carrots and peppers to start.
We shared the large portion of guacamole, which was delicious: just pure avacado flavor, salty enough.
I had chicken enchiladas mole. Mole was complex, toasty/spicy, and barely sweet - really good. There was a perfect amount of it covering them, with lots of melty cheese. Refried beans were excellent. I had half of someone's steak burrito. The steak was tender and flavorful, the lettuce inside was fresh and crispy, and there was a shmear of guac inside it too. Friends had a chicken burrito and chicken tacos, which I didn't try but they ate every bit. For four of us it was 40 bucks! Service was very nice too.
