Louisiana Seafood Restaurant and Oyster Bar - Brampton

I went here last Friday, last Saturday and yesterday which makes it 3 times in almost one week!

A friend recommended this place for a gal’s night out. I was pleasantly surprised at the food, decor and service. They have a live band on Fridays and weekends. The food was great.

To start off with I had coconut shrimp all 3 times. You get 4 shrimp, battered with real coconut and served with a peach sauce and a spicy Thai sauce. I have tried coconut shrimp at other restaurants and most of the time they coat it with a flour batter that has a little bit of coconut in it and am usually disappointed. I then had the following main courses: stuffed shrimp (the first time) and the catfish (the second time). They were good-sized portions and came with rice and veggies. The stuffed shrimp dish contained 4 jumbo shrimp stuffed with a spicy mixture of crab and shrimp and baked with cheese. I loved it! The catfish that I had was the best catfish I have had so far. It was not overcooked, was spicy and came with a great tomato salsa. When I went yesterday (3rd time) I had the coconut shrimp, again, and the stuffed squid (appetizer portion). The squid was o.k. There were 3 small pieces of whole squid stuffed with a mixture of spices and cheese and baked with a spicy tomato sauce. My friend had Cajun dusted chicken wings and raved about them as she was full after her first appetizer but couldn't stop eating the wings. She polished off her plate. Another friend had the catfish and polished off her plate. A friend, who is vegetarian, joined us and had the veggie pizza. She said it was good and I agree as I tried a piece. It was loaded with fresh veggies and not a lot of cheese.

I would definitely recommend this place. This is the first time I have been to the same restaurant 3 times in 6 days. I can't wait to go back again on their patio to have some Gin & Tonics and their coconut shrimp! MMMMMM!
