I know this message will probably be deleted by the chowhound team, some of whom I met (and they were also great), but the chowhound social yesterday showed that NY's chowhounds certainly know where to find the best, often exciting and unusual, eats. Some even made fantastic food in their own kitchens. I just wish we could list a bunch of these goodies so that those of us who were eating instead of taking notes would know where to find some of the exciting concoctions and charcuterie, at least the ones that are commercially available. How about a list of some of our favorite unusual to-go items?
And thanks to all who helped make the social a success. Totebags may still be available.
P.P.S. Now we have the biggest BBQ party NYC may ever have known to look forward to.
