Finally went to Roseangeli's tonight. Had never been in the past because the wait was too long. Got there tonight at 6:40PM and no wait.
Question - does their menu change frequently? Cause my friends rave about Roseangeli's "red sauce" but there wasn't any simple pasta/red sauce dish on the menu. Only thing close was a linguine with seafood tomato sauce.
Our meal was pretty good but both my and my wife's pasta were supremely out of balance. My linguine puttanesca (special request) was 20% linquine and 80% puttanesca. Once I had eaten all the pasta, my bowl still had what would have been a full meal of tomatoes, onions, capers and olives for someone else. My wifes ravioli was presented similarly -- swimming in sauce.
Overall I like Filipo's much better for this price point and atmosphere.
