Have you ever lost . . . .

JerryMe | Aug 19, 201506:32 PM     43

Neighbor came by and asked if I'd ever lost a pound of potatoes that I'd bought from the store. I had indeed! They got buried in the back of my extended cab pick up on our very thorough trip to the store, right before T-Day. I un-earthed them sometime in March getting ready for camping season. Temperature had held close to 60 and I did use them. I tore SO a new @#$ hole, at the time, when we got home because he'd bagged the groceries. Of course, I apologized four months later.

I "lost" a 30 pack of beer by leaving it in the cart at the store. In the parking lot. When I got home and started pulling things out of the truck, I was so horrified I immediately drove back to the store. There was no cart with beer, sadly, and when I got home (w/ a new pack) I discovered I'd driven over the bacon that I'd dropped in my panic.

I won't go into the details of leaving my purse in the cart at the store w/ cranky toddler after rush hour commute, daycare, etc. but suffice it to say that THAT was a #$%^. Took me weeks to recover. I do need to clarify - I left my purse and wallet, not my DS. Discovered about 8pm that same day but alas, too late.

What have you lost?
