Los Guacamoles Restaurant Toronto... Has spoiled me for most Mexican restaurants now

Idas | Sep 3, 201712:12 PM

Tucked away in a low key looking house converted resto on Euclid Ave, just north of Bloor, Los Guacamoles (https://www.losguaca-moles.ca/) opened up by by a talented woman named Lizbeth Orea, to many hurrahs from neighbours.

Where: 690 Euclid Ave, Toronto, ON M6G 2T9 Phone: (647) 347-5031
I really, really love the fresh taste of the food. The best way I can describe it is fresh, home-cooked and balanced. They are her family recipes and it shows.

I've yet to find another in Toronto that has such fresh tomato flavour in the enchiladas.
I'm not sure what style of Mexican cooking it is but I love everything I've eaten there so far.
They started off modestly with no credit cards and a pared down menu. Their popularity spread immediately on our neighbourhood Facebook page.

Now given their popularity and growing clientele, the menu and drink list is expanding gradually as an authentic cuisine restaurant should.

I can vouch for the veggie enchiladas, tender corn tortilla, with mixed peppers, sweet onion and tender zucchine and carrots. Leagues above any other meh veggie enchiladas I've had elsewhere in Toronto... covered in a lovely tomato-based sauce, melted cheese and crema...

Their guacamole is lovely and comes with several really nice options. Chips are freshly made.

They also serve two fresh sauces, green chile and red chipotle smokier sauce. Both are essential to add to my enchilada. So subtle and tasty.

I've also had the fresh churros with home made sauces and home made icecream... very nice.

Their mojitos (I like them made double strength because that's how I roll) have both Tequila and TripleSec (I'm upgrading my home made mojitos now!)
Their decor is casual and home, rustic but not rough. I really like it.
The staff are all native Spanish speakers. Service is polite and not stuffy.
It's not too big, not too small. Has a nice patio, much appreciated in the neighbourhood where most indie restaurants are pretty tight on real estate.

It's actually in 1/2 of a house on Euclid.
I feel happy every time I eat their. Their food does me good. I never had a "miss" yet and I eat there every two weeks or so...

One minor caution, call ahead if you are making a special trip out, it's family run and they do sometimes take a day off on long weekends etc...

Happy labour day weekend Los Guacamoles (they are closed today!)
Ole' !
PS. the next thing I'm going to try is their Horchata Cargada-- hello horchata cinnamon, tequila sluuuuurp!
And photos on their instagram are legit and show space and yelp 9https://www.yelp.ca/biz_photos/los-gu...) shows their food as they really appear in person.. https://www.instagram.com/losguacamoles/ And I see from their site that brunch is coming..... yes.
