I liked this place. It's not trying to be anything more than a place for a downhome meal, a meal that you could conceive of making at home. I enjoyed the chicken stew. Generous hunks of breast and thigh meat (skin on!)bathed in a reddish paprika tinged broth, soft potatoes, pimento and capers with white rice, black beans and my favorite, fried platano (platain) so sweet and soft and golden yellow. The Cuban sandwich was ample and tasty..not a perfect rendition but a respectible sandwich. Maybe its more of a lunch place with plenty leftover to pack home for your dinner.
