Los Cotijas: Not Just For Fish Tacos

Das Ubergeek | May 27, 2008 09:27 AM

So yesterday, on the way to the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival, we realised it was lunchtime and that we would do better to eat off the grounds than all the greasy festival food that's available. We happened to be on Euclid when we realised this, so we stopped at Los Cotijas.

We ordered a chicken quesadilla for Die Uberkid and, being only a year old, she didn't eat all of it (it's HYOOOOOOOOGE). So we dipped it in their delicious salsa quemada (that's the brown burnt-looking salsa on the salsa bar) and...

...wow. Juicy chicken, peppers and onions, and good cheese in a greasy tortilla. We polished it off after die Uberbaby had her part and now I'm sitting here telling myself that my waistline does not need a huge chicken-pepper-onion-cheesey-greasy quesadilla.

But it's hard.

So much yum...
