Los Altos brand Crema Mexicana

Melanie Wong | Feb 16, 201607:07 PM 1
California Texas Mexican Arizona Sour Cream Crema

Just wanted to share my favorite crema, made by Los Altos. The ingredient list is only cultured cream (with or without salt). No preservatives, gums or stabilizers. The taste is quite mild, very pure and fresh. It doesn't keep as long as other brands once opened, so plan to use it up in a short time.

In a separate conversation about Enchiladas Suizas, someone mentioned never seeing crema that did not have stabilizers in it. This one is distributed in California, Arizona and Texas. Its product literature mentions imitators, so perhaps there are other brands that go the natural route.
