L'Orange Bleu?

After passing by this place (corner Broome/Crosby) several thousand times over the years but never entering, i randomly tried it today...

The trout salad was average and inoffensive but i'd prob not order it again...the fried calamari was pretty tender and yummy, especially when tarred with harissa...i liked their wines...prices are on the low side for Soho/Nolita...

It seems not particularly chow-worthy, yet i liked the vibe: it's quite dirty and unrenovated inside and because of this i felt (maybe more than any other place i can think of in NYC) like i was back in Paris, in the 11th or in Belleville...because of that, and because of the convenient location and nice windows, i'm pretty sure to return and root around the menu a bit to find some standards i can enjoy...(the Greek salad someone nearby ordered looked quite good)...

Curious what other hounds have experienced...
