Hey all,
My wife and I (33 year old from Israel) going on a fairly long roadtrip from DC through Asheville, NC down to Savannah, SC and back to DC.

Here is our road itinerary. My wife has some meetings/interviews at Chapel Hill so that's kinda how the trip shaped up. I've listed the places we would be staying at for each day.

So far we have reservations for FIG and Mccrady's 2.0 in Charleston, SC and I plan on stopping for BBQ at Hemingway, SC and in Goldboro, NC (only BBQ place I've seen opened on a Sunday) on the way north.

We'l also try Allen & Sons when in Chapel Hill.
Thinking of Chef & The Farmer on Kinston, NC.

We are interested in local cuisine as much as possible. Wife is pregnant so no raw meat/seafood unfortunately.

Any tips/recommendations would be appreciated. I'll probably do research for DC seperately as it's an entire huge city.

Thanks!
