Long morning layover - worth leaving LAX?

JeanEllen | Sep 5, 2003 05:22 PM

A friend I haven't seen in several years is connecting through LAX tomorrow morning and has a long layover. We'll have about 3 hours, from 9:45 AM to 12:45. We'd like to go have a late breakfast/brunch someplace close by, fairly quiet so we can talk, decent food. I did a search and found previously recommended places, but I'm afraid places like Uncle Bills Pancake House and Martha's 22nd Street will be too crowded on a Saturday morning. Would Main Street Cafe in El Segundo be a good place...or will it be crowded too? Any other recommendations? Or should we just walk over to Encounter? (I know, I'm sure that's a bad idea!)
