London for two nights with a toddler

Hello Chowhounds, We're tacking on two extra days to get a little London time into our two-week trip to England visiting family. We will have a picky 3 year-old by summer. We have no illusions. This might be a difficult trip. It will be summer and over the weekend so any suggestions for street food, kid-friendly spots that are also tasty for breakfast/brunch/lunch/early dinner. Also open to picnics if weather permits. We have some friends in King's Cross so we're starting to zero in on our lodging location from there. We don't need high-end but quality. A good vibe that's for locals. I love beer and pubs but cook more like Ottolenghi-style at home. Willing to cheat on my meatless diet since it's vacation. Any babysitter tips would also be appreciated since we'd like one night on the town. If that doesn't happen location tips that have some nightlife would be excellent. My last time in England was 1991 so it will all be new to me.

Caravan King's Cross,
Ottolenghi
