I am going to London for the first time since I was 17, and am eager to try Nahm for dinner. I'm pretty obsessed with Thai food, and I read David Thompson's book at my bedside at night. But it's pretty pricy, and I am worried whether his restaurant is just a vanit project or is too generic or otherwise not that good for a serious Thai eater. Can anyone comment? And any recs for less upscale Thai food, preferably Issan/Lao or northern? Thanks.
