London Indian Eats (for Howler)

Maria Eng | Sep 25, 200012:21 AM     4

Hi Howler,
Just thought I might suggest a restaurant called The Bombay Brasserie. It's owned by the Taj group, so it leans more towards high-end hotel-trained food, but reflecting the cultural diversity of Mumbai + environs.
I have their cookbook here beside me and it includes plenty of selections culled from the restaurant's repertoire such as Parsi dishes and Game dishes (venison nehari-Yum!). Having tried a couple recipes (it's definitely not cheap trucker food or pale imitation "Mom's home cooking") I think maybe it's what you're looking for.
I also gather from the text that they offer Buffet on Sundays, at least. The only thing the book leaves out is the address+Tel.#, but that shouldn't stop a dedicated 'Hound.
Hope this works out.
