My father used to buy green tripe from the local abattoir which he then cleaned when I was growing up in the late 70's early 80's. I can still remember the taste which I used to really like. I remember a smell nothing strong just different.
Looking for a source now. Most..... sorry everyone I've mentioned green tripe to has turned their nose up and says feed your dog something else. When I tell them if for me its all I can do to stop them bringing up their last meal!!!
I tried the white (blanched) stuff but that is gross. Anyone know of a source of (cleaned) green tripe for human consumption in the London area?
