I posted last week in search of a New London dinner spot, and thought I'd relay my experience, in case anyone's in a similar situation. I ended up with a group at a tiny restaurant called 'La Vie en Rose'. The decor was a bit of a put-off and we at first felt like we were in the twilight zone, but the service, food and entertainment quickly made up for it--turns out a French chef and his American wife started the place, and he puts his whole heart into the food and presentation. His wife puts her heart into singing (probably just on certain nights), and I swear, our waitress serving a table of 15 could've run circles around a Manhattan waitress serving a table of 2, and with a great attitude. Just my 2-cents.
