[London] Excellent cream tea, not fussy, near Tate Modern? Lunch?

I have a 19-hour layover en route to India from the U.S., on a Sunday. It's been a while since I've been to London (tho I worked in a pub one summer when I was a student and have seen all the touristy stuff), so I plan to check out the Tate Modern, Millennium Bridge and have dinner at St John Bread & Wine.

I'd love to have a cream tea with excellent scones and clotted cream, but NOT a fancy hotel-type afternoon tea. I actually prefer sort of minimalist surroundings... just want to enjoy my book and the aforementioned scones, etc. Preferably around Southwark.

Also, I had high hopes for lunch at Anchor & Hope, but since I arrive at Heathrow at 1:30 pm, there's no way I'll make the 2 pm Sunday lunch seating. I don't suppose there's another good place for lunch nearby?

Don't ask how I'm going to cram all these meals in... I'll find a way! :) Thanks.
