Lodi's Double Dip Gallery: Art and Ice Cream

Melanie Wong | Apr 29, 201806:44 PM     1

Double Dip Gallery offers a full service scooping station of Gunther's ice cream in its art and collectibles gallery. In last weekend's heat, I had a chance to try one of the custom flavors available here only: Sorbet of Michael David winery's Petite Sirah. Deeply colored, this had a rather coarse grain similar to granita. Barely sweetened, it was suitably vinous in flavor with an etch of tannin, and I felt like I probably got my daily dose of resveratrol. The gallery has a bench in the center so one can take a seat and appreciate the frozen treats and the art on display.
