Loco Street Cream - Handcranked Ice Cream

Melanie Wong | Dec 30, 201006:37 PM

Earlier this month, I had a taste of Loco SF's Street Cream at the debut appearance at New Taste Marketplace. http://newtastemarketplace.org/

The organic ice cream was hand-cranked on site in an old fashion White Mountain and offered as free samples with a donation box handy for monetary contributions. The vanilla was pure and very intense in flavor with a soft texture and slight iciness of the homemade product of old. I especially liked the cookies n cream, made with Newman-O's, the alternative version of Oreo cookies. The cookies stayed really crispy because the ice cream was so fresh.

Gavin Crynes, proprietor of Loco Street Cream, is making a second appearance tonight in San Francisco at Bloodhound starting at 7pm. He also delivers ice cream by bicycle.
