For those who have never been to Locali in New Canaan, it is a must try. Small by square footage, but incredibly large in flavors in the food and talents in the kitchen. I first met Executive Chef Mogan Anthony at Village Social in Mt. Kisco when I heard he was opening in New Canaan. A former “Chopped” contestant, the food he served me on that first evening was fantastic.
Locali is one of the best Napolitano pizzas around. Mogan begins with deliciously light dough and then tops with a variety of toppings from earthy to bold / spicy. The small plates offer the tastes of the seasons, with one of the best meatballs around, and the pasta dish served with clams and sausage is about as good as it gets.
Check out the full review and better yet head to Locali, order a few plates and a pizza and enjoy a great meal.
