Hello!
I will be visiting Chicago at the end of June. Originally from Chicago and looking forward to returning for just 3 nights. I am interested in checking out some of your favorite spots for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am open to any food. I will not have a car. (uber, cabs, El, walking) I am planning to visit River North, Streeterville, loop, Wicker Park, Wrigley.

My question is, I know Chicago has a good number of Michelin star restaurants. Are any of them truly outstanding?? I live in L.A. and have eaten all over S. California as I was raised here. I have gone to Providence, Melisse, Bestia, Osteria Mozza, Lucques, blah, blah. I can honestly say these are all over-rated, way too expensive, difficult to reserve a table and just not that good.

The only things I truly want to do while in Chicago is to walk around that amazing city, checking out the architecture, Goodman Theatre, standing on the bridge taking in the vast city from the Chicago River. As far as food goes...

My only plans is to eat at a steakhouse...leaning towards Bavettes or Chicago Cut. Other than that, I am open. My preference is steak or Italian. I am going to be there with someone who eats everything.

What are your favorite restaurants in any area within a close Uber from N. Michigan Ave.? Thank you for those of you who have read through my post and want to help out! Feel free to ask me about the L.A. area restaurants, if you are planning to visit S. Cal.

Chicago Cut Steakhouse,
Bavette's Bar & Boeuf
