I recently posted about a dinner my wife and I had at Morton's in San Francisco. If any of you have been to a Morton's, (steakhouse chain) you know that the wait staff presents a cart with raw steaks wrapped in plastic as well as a live lobster, (and veggies) to you and they run down the various attributes of each.
It came very close to ruining my wife's meal. She was upset at them keeping this large Main lobster, (4.5 lbs.) out of the water on the tray. She has been encouraging me to write to Morton's complaining about this.
Before I do write I wondered if anyone had any knowledge about the lobster being out of water for what looked like the entire night? Is that cruel and unusual lobster punishment? Any and all opinions gratefully accepted before I put pen to paper, or at least fingers to keyboard, and dash off a note to Morton's management.
