Well, after reading mixed reviews on L'Kesh Southern Soul food spot on Burbank Blvd. just past Van Nuys I had to give it a try. I will not be returning. First I walked in and its a comfortable feeling and the few people eating there all say HELLO which is nice. My waitress was the female owner, very sweet lady. She offered me a lemonade and I said yes which was very refreshing, then comes my corn bread which wasn't anything to brag about and now on to my meal. I had the Fried Chicken dinner with collard greens and hush puppies. Now they call this fried chicken!!! It wasn't crispy at all where you can hear a cruch which I was after from a nice piece of southern cooking where you dont worry about the calories. Instead it was near burnt and terrible, the hush puppies were good with a dipping sauce of honey and a hot sauce, the collard greens had way to much sugar in them making them not the best. Oh well, you live and learn...
