LJs BBQ brunch = yum!

We have long been fans of LJs BBQ on East Ave in Pawtucket; their collard greens are truly the best we have ever had, you can taste the sweetness of the potatoes they use in their delicious fries and their burgers are wonderfully flavorful. Early this afternoon I developed a new appreciation of LJs when I took my first bite of Crab Cakes Benedict. Buttery, plumb, moist crab cakes covered in savory chipotle hollandaise—nothing fishy or dry about the cakes, nothing greasy about the smooth hollandaise. The fried catfish was not battered as we expected but coated in a well-spiced brown crust. Homefries were tasty, omelette fluffy, ice tea good. The waitress was attentive and friendly and the restrooms clean (always a good sign in my opinion). The worst I can say is that the Diet Coke was flat. All-in-all it was a terrific meal.

I highly recommend.
