Alone at the bar of rouge gorge and -lo and behold! - they have wifi!
While I am drinking my way through their list of wine by the glass (the list is massive, I doubt I'll even reach the reds), I thought it might be neat if I gave my impressions.
Now I hate writing on my ipad (I feel like I'm finger painting with gouache) but I do have the luxury of wine and time so why not?
I space is absolutely beautifull and incredibly spacious. They have a very long bar and a ton of tables. The place is buzzing already and we are only a bit over 9pm.
Whitewashed brick walls, light woods, ambiant lighting... it doesn't feel too crowded or formatted.
There is a douchebag dj (again? Wtf? What's wrong with bars and weekends?) but I have the power of spotify so there.
I have tried their "tartelette au panais" which is a tad more expensive than it should but not much at 11$.
Tried a cremant de loire (which was ok... the producer is chateau de breze) and I am currently drinking a bland de noir brut champagne from Barbichon which is fan-ta-stic (and 22$/glass)
The texture is all in subtility. There is not so much an attack as a gradual continuum of flavours.... a hint of acidity, some tart apples, pears? The bubbles are very fine and almost goes unnoticed.... a really enjoyable experience.
