Even when I was a kid, I lived to eat. I loved eating--it was one of the most interesting, most pleasurable activities I could imagine (as a kid!).
(given my interest in eating, I consider it an extremely fortunate stroke of good luck that I'm not incredibly fat.)
Question for others: the slogan at the top of the Main chowhound page says "for those who live to eat". As a kid, my father used to say to me, disapprovingly, "You live to eat!" I could never understand why he said it disapprovingly, because not only was it obvious, but I didn't see anything wrong with that attitude, then or now. Has anyone else here had a similar experience?
