Check out the highlights from our summer feast sponsored by Stella Artois and Feastly at North Brooklyn Farms, featuring food from chef Theo Friedman of Theory Kitchen.
How to Roast Vegetables with Lisa Jervis
Lisa Jervis, cofounder of Bitch magazine and author of Cook Food: A Manualfesto for Easy, Healthy, Local Eating, has a particular bias against mushy, flavorless vegetables that are more steamed than roasted. To get that roasty, toasty flavor and texture, be sure to cut the veggies evenly, spread them out in the pan, and oil and season them generously. Plus, Jervis says, anything lower than 500 degrees Fahrenheit is baking, not roasting.
Star Trek - Food and Drink
In time for the premiere of Star Trek: Discovery, we look at some of the franchise's famous food and drinks.
What to Grill Before the Summer Ends
Before the summer is over we look at less-conventional foods to throw on the grill.
Chef Theo Friedman meets with one of North Brooklyn Farms' farmers to discuss the chef−produce purveyor relationship, in addition to the importance of seasonality and flavor when developing the menus for his transformative culinary events. In preparation for his Stella Artois dinner party, Chef Theo then visits Union Square Greenmarket to pick out fresh, local ingredients for his end-of-summer celebration.
