Limones (asheville) - off nite or gone sour?

Admittedly it has been several months since we've been for dinner. We have however been for brunch and while not being blown away by the food, were mostly pleased. Had dinner there recently and it just didn't remind us of the "old days" when almost everything we ordered was a hit. Their Caesar salad used to be presented in a spacious bowl and now the large uncut romaine leaves are in a long square plate, guaranteeing that when you try and cut them 1/2 will end up on the table.
A grouper taco we found bland and tasteless and a little dried out. We both love the sweetness of grouper so this was a big disappointment. We found ourselves longing for the SunBurst Trout taco at French Broad Taqueria in Marshall....at less than 1/4 of the price! Speaking of price...it was obvious that all of the small plates and entrees had increased in price. With rising cost of food and fuel though this seems to be the case in many restaurants.
Also with only a few tables and what seemed to be plenty of servers, it took a reminder to get bread....after appetizers were served.
I really like my empanadas but found the small serving (2) at $9 pretty pricey. As usual the dipping oil and bread were fabulous.
I was a bit sad that we were disappointed with anything at Limones. Kind of like running into an old friend that you hadn't seen in a while and finding out things hadn't been going so well for them.
