So out of curiosity I went to Limon la Brassa last weekend, wondering how the original outpost if faring after the full kitchen moved to the new location on
Well, in a nutshell, don't bother. The menu is very much reduced. We ordered the chicken, which was okay but nothing special, a saltado, which also was just okay, and a papa a la huacaina (sp?), which ALSO was just okay. What made the experience less than okay was that everything was dirty - our menus stuck to the table tops, the service was poor, and well, everything just seemed so abandoned and decrepit. Is this place still owned by the same people, or did they sell the name (adding the brassa part) and lease to someone else? There are other Peruvian places in the city that are much, MUCH better.
