Lily's House party trays

monkey619 | Feb 12, 2008 01:24 PM

We had a party on Sunday where we ordered trays of food from Lily's House in Lafayette. We ordered the Shanghai noodles, stir-fried rice cake (nian-gao), dry-fried green beans, and pork hock (ti-pan). The food was steaming hot when I picked it up, and Lily and her husband (the chef) helped load the trays into my car. It was a huge hit, especially the fatty pork! Having the large portions did not compromise quality at all--the food was just as good as when we've ordered single order portions at the restaurant. Very reasonably priced too... I ordered enough food for at least 40 people, and the total was about $160. The only thing to caution is that they overestimated the amount of food by double (hence enough food for 40, when I only asked for 20), so we now have a fridge full of leftovers (not complaining though!).
