Lighting in Local Chinese Restaurants

mc michael | Jan 12, 201105:17 AM

I'm pretty oblivious to things beyond food sometimes, but even I can't help but notice that lighting is quite bright in virtually every local Chinese restaurant I've been to. A Chinese friend theorizes that this is the result of arranged marriages and the lack of a dating culture in China for a thousand years. It's an intriguing theory, but I have no insight on this. Bueller? Anyone? I've been trying to think of a place with lower lighting. About the only one that comes to mind is Yujean Kang and even there the lighting is not that low. Any others?
